Voz Antigua is the making of high quality string instruments. These instruments are skillfully made with lots of care and dedication. Traditional hand tools are used and varnish is created entirely from natural  materials.  Shaving/horsetail grass is used for finishing the wood surfaces.

Caryl Blomkamp, who has a background in graphic design, studied under Brian Lisus at his violin making school in South Africa. She has an individual style and her instruments have a wonderful flow and feel to them. These instruments are skillfully made with lots of care and dedication using only the finest European wood that has been naturally seasoned for at least 20 years. Although Caryl usually varnishes in a traditional manner, there have on occasion been requests for a more personalized violin.
